  • Looking for an old tutorial – oscillating grid – want the pos expression

    Hi all,

A few years ago there was a tutorial that created a grid of circles and then oscillated them.

I’m interested in looking it over becuase the grid of circles was created using an expression that positioned each layer. It was a good one because it used layer.number (or something) instead of layer-1 so it didn’t have to do cascading calculations.

I’ve been out of the expression world for a while and wow do you ever lose the ability to do anything… I’m expressionless.

You might try clicking on Dan’s head above, always a good thing when Expressions are involved, then scroll down to “noise()

Other than Dan’s head not being above in the thread view, it’s perfect!

Thanks for the tip. I found the exact tut:

Given that noise was the focus of the tut not the grid positioning, I couldn’t find it with google.

    Cheers.
