Importing Footage Error Message
Every time I attempt to import footage into a comp, i get an error message that says
After Effects error: sorry, the last command could not be completed — bad parameter (-50)

does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this problem and anyways to solve it
Also I have already tried reinstalling AE twice and still no luck

what sort of footage is it?
does it only do it with this footage or everything?
is the the footage .wmv – AE (and most other software) don’t like .wmv? -
No it is just an AVI file and its not letting me put in jpeg images or wav audio, and it only happens when i try to import footage, and nothing else
this message just started happening today, before it used to be fine

You really didn’t give enough important information for anyone to know what’s going wrong here =/
What kind of footage is it? Where are you trying to import it from (Local/Network)?
Usually unexplained problems will have to do with some sort of strange operating circumstance like running low on HD space or… any number of other thinigs =) Is there anything strange about your system or the way you’re working?

oh, maybe try deleting the preference files. can’t remember exactly where they are… search the cow archives for “preference file” and you find some posts
