  FCP DAT Avid sound issues

  Hi,
  I’m assisting on a project with limited resources. We have a couple of DAT and miniDV tapes with sound on them. Due to the fact we don’t have a DAT deck, I took the tapes to work, where it’s Avid only facility. I digitized the media into Avid, exported AIFF files and tried to import into FCP. However, when I did this, FCP gave me the error message, 1file recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown. Does anyone know why? It should’ve worked, since it’s just an AIFF file.

  Try opening the file with quicktime. What happens?
