  preview disabled – again

  Hello,

  I’m running FCP 5.0.1.
  It works fine capturing PAL DVCam tapes from a Sony PD170 but when I try to capture NTSC tapes on the same camera the capture screen doesn’t pop up and I’m left with the preview disabled screen. VTR is OK and I can control the camera from the computer and I’m getting sound but no picture.
  I tried trashing the preferences but no joy. I tried looking for a setting to change in the camera but also no joy.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated, as always.
