    Hey!

I need advice on equipment needed to stream live video…
    ( Flash )

Our organisation uses flv streaming daily, but these are pre-encoded and edited.

now we need to do a live shot to the web.

The adobe manual on meedia encoder says:
“# Hook up a video source to the computer that Flash Media Encoder will be running on.”

After that I understand what to do but:

How do I feed video continuously to the computer?
What kind of equipment do I need?

What I have now is XDCAM ex1 and MBP…… with FCPS 2 ….

I have no I/o other than firewire…. and XDCam doesent play with that …

What kind of I/o should I buy then, that will work for this task?

We will do this very rarely – so low cost would be nice…..

    Has anyone done this?

Hope I was clear on what I want to achieve….
