  Audio sent to wrong tracks on beta deck

  I am trying to export an FCP project to beta sp and for some reason it wants to send audio to channels 3+4 only when using edit to tape. When i crash record or just play the signal through the deck it plays/records channels 1-4 but as soon as it goes edit to tape it doesn’t record on channels 1+2.

  Any idea why this is happening?

  I have a kona 3 card and aja i/o. could that have anything to do with it? Or is it settings in the deck or in FCP?

  I need to get this tape out today so a quick response would be greatly appreciated!

  No need to respond now. It seems to work properly by using ‘assemble’ and doesn’t work when using ‘Insert’.

  For now, a quick work around is to simply press the audio insert one & two buttons once the deck starts to preroll. It isn’t fixing the problem but it will get you through the current EOT operation until you have time to troubleshoot the problem.
