So, I was happy to see that something that was bugging me about FCP has been fixed (though I don’t know when exactly…ver 6?) The problem was that whenever you tried to export a still frame from FCP when working in DVCProHD it would come out squeezed to 960×720 and then you would have to unsqueeze it in photoshop or whatever program you were using the still in. It always bugged me that you were not able to tell FCP to export it at 1280×720 like you can do when exporting a quicktime using quicktime conversion. Anyhow, I am not working of FCP6, and I guess I haven’t tried to do this in a while, but the image actually came out 1280×720…which is awesome. My only problem now is: why when you make a still from DVCProHD footage the edges always get all jaggy and the image has an overall pixelated look to it? It is very noticeably different than if you are parked on an actually frame from a quicktime of the same footage.

    Thanks,
    Eli
