  HELP! “preview disabled”

  hey all…

  i need to capture off of my panasonic ag-dv2500 (miniDV deck). just going from the minidv out on the back of the deck into the firewire on my macpro. i have deck control (of the miniDV) from the log and capture window on fcp, but, no picture, so, obviously, i cannot see what needs to be digitized. the window just shows me color bars with the message “preview disabled” on it. i do have the external video set to “all frames” and the video playback set to “digital cinema desktop preview – main”

  any ideas?

  Hey Mike,
  Is this problem on the same system as your previous Preview thread? If not, can you give us your hardware spec? Always helps to know what is connected to where!
