I was on your website earlier and when I was taking the facility tour I noticed in, what I believe is your editing suite, dual monitors, an NTSC monitor and a big nice flat screen TV above it all.

My question is how does one route the video to all the different tv’s? What do I need to hook up? Are their certain cables? Can I do something like this with my Macbook Pro? or is this something that MacPro users are privy to? Also, what would be the best monitors that I would get the best results on?
Here is a link to those who haven’t seen it: https://www.biscardicreative.com/tour.htm

by the way, the facility looks amazing!

    Thank you!

[Kyle Troxell] “My question is how does one route the video to all the different tv’s?”

You get a wildly creative guy like Bob Zelin to design the engineering of your facility and then run about 4500 – 6000 feet of cable through the walls.

The entire facility is wired with HD-SDI and audio cables to patch panels so we can feed anything to anywhere in the facility. All rooms can also control any piece of equipment so we don’t have to move VTR’s around anymore either.

[Kyle Troxell] “Also, what would be the best monitors that I would get the best results on?”

The best monitors I’ve seen today for the money are the TV-Logic LCD displays from Korea. Never would have believed it if I didn’t test them myself, but they were every bit as good as my Sony professional CRT and my Panasonic professional plasma displays.

Glad you liked the tour. The photos are actually quite outdated, but we’re going to be re-launching our website in about three weeks and we’ll have all new photos including our newest suite, the Rialto Room. Themed loosely after a 50’s movie theater.
