  • Upsampling – or – Format Question

    Background:

I have a project that was begun on a Panasonic DVX100A/24p (16×9), with footage also shot on an HVX200 720/24p. Recent footage on a Canon XL-H1 1080/24p. The project, minus the HDV footage is in Final Cut 5.

I am getting ready to install FC Studio 2 and pull the project over.

    Dilemma Pt 1:

The real question is about upsampling the DVX and HVX footage.

I have been thinking of purchasing the Boris Continuum Complete for all its many filters. It also includes an SD to HD conversion tool. I am wondering if anyone can comment on this tool as opposed to Red Giant InstantHD or other conversion tools.

My goal is to make the footage from all three sources integrate seamlessly and look great together….If possible.

    Thanx in advance

You’ve stumbled out of the typical forum help question and into the category of needing to hire a consultant to discuss workflow options.
