I believe I have painted myself into a corner here. HD project some shot on HDCam 23.98Psf. About a third of the movie in a variety of other formats, sd 29.97, HD 29.97, stills etc., lovely. Original HD Cam tapes down converted to 29.97 beta letter box. re-Digitized the camera tapes at 10bit uncomp 23.98. Bad decision #1 Edited in a timeline with 29.97 timebase. Now my Edit is done looks good and in sync, but… realized the pull down is way incorrect. Using the timecode reader I’ve realized all it did for the 23.98 material was duplicate every fourth (or so) frame for it’s strange render pulldown. (actually shows matching frame and tc two frames in a row). Ouch… Figured maybe I could use cinema tools to get a proper pulldown conversion from the re-diged 23.98 clips (conform 29.97) and re-connect, but no… changes the audio sample rate and clip duration. My client has no Idea what the delivery requirements are so I was going for an HD version that may be easily converted or output to future specs. So… Any suggestions apart from starting over and trying to match my original edit? Love this forum! Read often 1st post
