Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy P2 greyed out

  • Posted by Toobit on March 15, 2008 at 3:11 am

I just finished a shot with P2 cameras. One shot to P2 cards and the other shot to Firestore. They transferred all of the footage to an external drive for me. They imported clips into Final Cut Pro at their place, just to double-check contents/structure.

Now, I’ve brought that drive home and try to use the “Log and Transfer” and I add the folder (just like we did earlier) and nothing happens. The folder doesn’t “add”.

The FCP they used on set was FCP 5, they used “Import/P2” and mine is FCP 6, so I was using “Log and Transfer”.

What am I doing wrong? I’ve done this before, but never on this system. Do I need a P2 driver loaded? The Log and Transfer window does say that it has the P2 plugin.

    thanks

DO you have FXFactory installed? v1 and the first version of v2 impared FCPs ability to import P2.

I’ll check. I just tried it on my MacPro, running Leopard, and they import fine, so it must be this problem.

Thanks, that did it. Had an old FXFACTORY demo left on there.
