How much RAM do you have?

Have you trashed your prefs lately?

How full are your hard drives?

I am running a MacBook Pro with 2 Gigs RAM, I have 2 external Lacie 500Gig drives and one of them is full. I have never trashed my prefs. I am working with 720PN HD footage.

The full hard drive is most likely your issue. You need to leave 10 to 20% free space to avoid problems.

When I say full, I mean there is about 14Gb available space, could it be the RAM? And why is it only when I step into an image file?
