  • FCP issue with interpreting QT files

    Hi all,

I have a problem with a quick time movie in FCP. Imagine a horizontal line going across the screen and the last frame is the line becoming complete. This is how it appears on the QT file but when it comes into Final Cut the last frame stops just short of completing the line. I have tried re-importing the clip and the same still occurs. As there is no issue on the QT file itself I’m presuming it is a problem with FCP interpreting the QT file. Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

    Regards,

    Danny

Could you be one field (1/60 of a second) short of complete? Does FCP’s Item Properties in the Browswer show the length as the same as shown in Quicktime? Is the clip interlaced? Is your Canavas set to less than 100%?
