First of all I just got Gridiron Nucleo and don’t know what I was waiting for. It’s great. The faster previews really help speed up the creative process (50% to 100% faster depending on the comp). I’m having a major problem with Nucleo Fast Renders though. I use a render farm to render my final comps as an image sequence. I then use that sequence to locally render any previews I need and a final uncompressed Quicktimes to use in Final Cut (I use Blackmagic 8-bit codec). Using Nucleo Render on a 30 second spot my lip-synch is off by 1 second by the end of the spot. It’s only using the first 870 frames(29 secs.) of the image sequence to create a 900 frame (30 sec.) Quicktime. It’s looks like a slight slo-mo. Nucleo’s session history reads “Completed render of item 5 Render of 870 frames took 00:00:52 (hh:mm:ss) to complete.” I found a workaround by disabling my Blackmagic preview in AE, that allows me to render anything other than a Blackmagic file, but the Blackmagics always only render using 870 frames. Obviously I can work around this by only using the AE render, but I do a lot of these conversions every day and it would be cool to use Nucleo Fast Render, it renders these files twice as fast (the above example logged at 52 sec., it took over 2 minutes using AE render). Any ideas?

I wish I had an answer for you. Could you please send this question to our support team (support@gridironsoftware.com) and we’ll have look to see what’s going on.

    I assume you’re at 29.97 fps, no fields/pulldowns?

Anyway – I’ll be sure to post the resolution once we find it.
