    Hallo,

I’m trying to do a fresh install of FCS2 with a different version than the one that’s already on my machine. I put the wrong serial number in, basically, so I need to reinstall it with the correct serial so it doesn’t conflict with another machine on the network.

I uninstalled FCS like it says on the apple site, deleting the certain folders/files etc. But when I installed the new version it never asked me for a serial number, and now I’ve reinstalled it it has the same number as the other version!

How do I uninstall and get it to purge the serial number data?

    Many thanks,

    Nico

The venerable Shane ross clued us in to this:

    https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm

But before you do that, you need to do is go to your HardDrive > Library > Application Support > ProApps folder and delete the Final Cut Studio System ID. Then launch FCP and reenter your number.
