Write-On Effect Problem!! HELP!!
Hello, I can not get this write-on effect to do what I need it to do. I have included a pic of the AE file to show you.
When I paste the mask into the brush position for some reason it doesnt take on the same position of the original mask. Instead it is offset to a random position. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Here is the image:

I’m not sure if there’s something I’m missing, but I think all of this Write-on craze started with a tutorial someone did here on the Cow with AE 6.5. However, in AE 7 it’s much easier to use the Stroke effect to reveal elements.
I could be wrong, is there some other reason to use Write-on instead of Stroke?

This happens if your layer is not the same size as your comp.
Make your layer same size as comp.Good Luck.
