  Where did the firewire output go?

  Hello,

  I’m learning FCP as fast as I can, but I must have clicked on something and now I’ve lost the fed to my external monitor.

  At some point when I was playing video and audio off the FCP time line, it was going out of the Mac by firewire and into a JVC deck that lets me transfer mini DV to and from the Mac via a bi-directional firewire port. I have a video monitor attached to the JVC.

  Recently I realized I could no longer port video and audio through the JVC so I could see it on the monitor, regardless of which input I chose on the JVC. I’m guessing I inadvertently clicked on something in FCP that disabled the video from the Mac’s Firewire output. I think I have that selected in audio/video settings. What am I missing?

  Follow the View > External Video > All Frames menu.
