    Hello chaps,

I’m trying to find a widget that will let me take video out of FCP via firewire and output it on a JVC TM-A170 monitor.

I had a DAC-100 which has given up the ghost. I’m looking for something a little more robust.

The TM-A170 doesn’t have component inputs…only SDI and composite. My boss asked me to check out the Edirol VC-300HD as a possible solution, but I must confess that I am essentially clueless.

    Any recommendations?

    Many thanks…

Great bet is a Matrox MXO… there are other solutions, but they would only give you a composite output for that monitor… bad. Plus the Matrox will monitor HD on a Cinema Display properly… pretty cool. Will down convert HD to SD for that monitor as well… it would connect via SDI.

Better than that? Io HD… AJA Costs more but captures anything… including HDV, HD, SD, you n name it.
