    Hello,
I have gotten so much help on a issue with my system. The only thing left is how do I go about doing it? I know I have to reinstall Leopard but I want to make sure that I back up my whole drive the right way and bring it back in again the right way. I used CCC and made an exact copy down to the roots but should I bring it back that way or will it cause the same issue? I just want to reinstall witout having to load all the programs individually (125) that would be a living nightmare.
    Thanks For Your kindness,

The whole point of doing a full system reinstall is to start with a fresh system. What you have done is clone your poorly running system to another drive. If you clone it back, you will have the same issues.

The living nightmare is having to continue to live with a problem system and try to patch it here and there. It is much more painless to start fresh…brand new OS…then install your applications. Yes, this will take a while, but when it is done, you’ll have nice functioning system.

Now, I recommend installing all the BIG programs first, making sure that they work, then install the smaller ones, either a few at a time, or one at a time, then test the big applications to make sure they still work. Basically whatever trouble you are having, when you reinstall things, try to see if it crops up again. If it does, then you can narrow it down to the application or group of applications that is causing the problem.

Hey Patrick, would you mind keeping this in the same thread as your other posts? It makes it easier for future users to track your progress.

    Thanks.
