Best Fireworks Plugin for AE
Posted by Kbaz22 on April 7, 2007 at 7:27 pmI’m specifically looking for the best fireworks plugin. I have DigiEffects Delirium,
but I’m looking for a little more realism. A particle plugin that can also create
good fire/smoke would be a bonus.Thanks,

April 7, 2007 at 11:11 pmHow ’bout Trapcode Particular?
Look at the demos on http://www.trapcode.com and the clips (in the Pyro Pack if I’m not mistaken), they’re very realistic!
Good luck.

April 9, 2007 at 2:39 pmBuy some stock footage of fireworks or wait till July and shoot ’em yourself.
All fireworks simulations look like they are simulations, even Trapcode’s. It takes a lot of work to introduce such chaotic randomness as air movements and misfiring payloads into a simulation. Today’s audiences see simulations immediately and this can seriously detract form your communications efforts. Depends on your need for realism.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

April 10, 2007 at 7:00 amThanks for the suggestions. Stock footage is a good idea, but I was looking for more control of the colors & an alpha channel as well. I checked out the Trapcode Particular plugin and I think I’ll go with that. No, I didn’t believe I was at a celebration on the Fourth of July, but it seems pretty impressive & versatile (and luckily, not out of my price range).
Thanks Again!
