  logging query

  hi

  i want to log – but not capture – details of footage for our archive. i want to store the data in a searchable database. does any one know of a piece of software that can pick up the timecode from a vtr to save manual entry?

  i don’t want to digitise the footage or build a storage retrieval system, just have a searchable log of shots for future projects.

  any thoughts ‘ppreciated.

  Log all the shots in FCP.

  Then you either export the Bin or Save the Bin As a tab deliniated document.

  You open that in Excel or Filemaker Pro and create your database.
