  Final cut pro 6 Scale question

  Hello,
  I want to adjust the scale of a video’s x axis without affecting the scale of its y axis. I know you can hold shift over the corners of the video in the canvas but I want to do it numerically in the motion tab, like how it’s done in avid. Does anyone know how to do this?

  You cant do that with FCP unfortunately,
  they have a Distort parameter which you have to use, trial and error style, in conjunction with the scale slider (really terrible, I know!)

  thanks Mark, that helped. I forgot you can adjust the aspect ratio in distort.

  Still it would be nice to have x, y scale parameters like in avid.
