  Can you get compressor as a stand alone app?

  No, it’s part of Final Cut Pro, thus only included in Studio.

  Hmmm…okay well, is there another solid compression software out there that’s worth getting into BESIDES sorenson squeeze? I’ve had some issues with squeeze in the past. Right now Im just using Visual Hub and sometimes quicktime pro. It’s pretty simple and straight foreward
