Quicktime 7.4 and FCP 6.0.2?
Posted by Greg Jones on January 17, 2008 at 2:43 pmHas anyone been brave enough to install Quicktime 7.4 on their machine yet? Apple says there are ‘Bug Fixes’. Has anyone noticed if it runs smoothly? I’m really nervous about installing new versions of Quicktime after the 7.3 debacle.

January 17, 2008 at 3:28 pmGo check out the After Effects forum and look at the problems they’re having there already. MAJOR MAJOR issues with Quicktime 7.4 and After Effects. I would clearly stay away from this, like all new updates, until the community has had a chance to basically beta test it.
For now, stay away!

I’m really getting sick of my edit system getting broken so that AppleTV & iPhone can watch movies.
It kind of makes you wish there was software designed for media PROs – something that gets tested with Pro Apps before release.
Great idea, eh? We could even call it… Quicktime PRO!!!
