  FCP AJA Kona Card Issue!!! please Help!!!

  Last week I put a SD KONA Card into my G5 (bought last yr)
  and works fine with SD projects.

  Now when i do HD projects and dont even use the card at all it seems to block me from doing certain things that i used to be able to do before i put the bloody card in!! here’s the story:

  I capture using a HDV deck into the G5 via Firewire. It captures ok but wont allow me to export (just gives me black on tape) or get a preview.
  Is there a way to prevent the G5 from reecognising the fact that the SD card is in it when i am working on HD projects.

  I am using Final Cut Studio Package.

  It’s my understanding that you can’t preview an HDV picture over firewire at all without the use of a third party device… but you’re saying you used to be able to do this? I think I’m not understanding something – can you clear this up for me?

  Also, when you say you only get black on tape are we talking about trying to Print to Video HDV footage back to an HDV camera via firewire? Or are we talking about something else?

  got this sorted in the end it turns out i had to break some lines in the Control Panel GUI for the Kona card.
  Thanks for the help though
