We have just upgraded our Mac Pro 3.2GHz Quad-Core to FC Studio 2, have Blackmagic Decklink HD Pro, and Sony HVR 1500 via RS-422 HD-SDI for capture/ingestion.
Before the upgrade, deck and FCP functioned perfectly on capture/ingest, but since upgrade to FCP 6, we have been getting the following error messages: “New tape has been insterted, rename reel, etc etc” and “Tape is Unthreaded” – These occur during Log and capture, and subsequently during Batch Capture. Only way to capture is on the fly. Could this be an Apple bug?

If anyone working with similar setup and/or similar issues/problems could offer some suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks, John

Do you have the latest Blackmagic drivers? I had a problem with my Decklink Pro card and FCS2 which was fixed by downloading the latest drivers.

Thanks Michael, yes I did upgrade to the latest Blackmagic Updates v. 6.6.2 and no luck! 🙁
