  Best way to sync S16mm clips

  I am going to cut a short film on Super16. It has been telecined to Digibeta. I have a miniDV with a dub of the Digi (+ timecode).

  I would like to sync up the DV footage with the audio recorded from a HD recorder. I was going to make the shots subclips once i had synced them. But evertime I make a subclip they look like timelines in my bins.

  I don’t want to sync and cut the whole film, and then not be able to online the film from the Digi on another computer because all of the footage is wrong.

  Any suggestions?

  Look at the FCP manual from the HELP menu in FCP…and type in MERGE CLIPS.

  That is what you are looking for.
