I have tried to open up a specific sequence in a FCP file and it will not open. I get a “File not found” messege, followed by an “Out of Memory” message. I then went back to the autosave vaults and they didn’t open that sequence. I was working all niht and shut my compuer down, so might that have something to do with it?

    Thanks for your time, Kwesi

Bet you have a media file or render file that is bad… try deleting the renders, and if that fails, try moving the media offline by putting it in another folder… see if it opens. If it does, reconnect a few clips at a time to narrow down the ugly one, and save often. When you connect a clip to a bad media file, the error will show up… Then recapture it.

    Thanks for your help.
I can’t disconnect the media files. I put them in crazy amounts of folders to no avail, and we don’t have another drive big enough to hold all the clips. What else could I do?

Just put them in another folder on the same drive… they will be disconnected when you reopen the project file.
