  • change duration of multiple clips

    Hi,

I have multiple (well, 230) clips in a row in a single video track, which I created by cutting one large clip into pieces. Now I would only like to keep the first frame of every clip for a stop motion effect. When I select a single clip and change the duration to _one_ frame, I perfectly achieve what I want. Only thing is, I don’t want to do this 230 times, but when I select them all and try to change the duration, Final Cut Pro (of course?) takes the entire duration of all clips.

Is there a way to gracefully change all clips to a duration of one frame?

    Any hints greatly appreciated!
    Larry

Yeah, highlight them all, using command-a on the keyboard if you choose, then right-click (or control-click) on one of them, choose Duration (tc:xx:xx) from the menu and then you get a dialog box asking you for the new duration.

    Type in the following
    .01
    and then hit enter twice

    and you’re done.
