Quick question (but need an answer),

Setting up to do a multicam edit. Have three cams running tc generator all in sync. Two camreas are shooitng dvcam which I’m capturing via firewre (dsr-11) into the system. The third cam is beta and were using AJA io 8bit beta >>NTSC DV capture codec. All timecodes are inputted manually the same. All footage is captured with no problems.

the problem? I highlight all three clips and right mouse ckick and hit ‘make multiclip sequence’ It creates a sequence synching up the two dvcams BUT not the Beta. It puts it later in the same sequence. I notice that even though I input the tc in and out manually, the betacam’s final capture changes the duration by two frames. Everything else capture-wise is the same.

Can someone tell me what I’m having trouble with or a workaround? thanks in advance and hopefully a speedy response.

Your only easy way to troubleshoot is to try to capture some beta through the dsr-11. Set a manual in-point on the test clip.

“2 frames” sounds suspiciously like a DF/NDF issue but you seem to know what you’re doing with timecode so I’ll not go there.
