I’m going to be shooting some green screen interviews using a Sony V1U HDV camera and a Reflecmedia green screen kit. What would be the best work flow to get the best possible key? Final delivery will be SD, but it would probably be better to do the key on an HDV timeline…would it not? Should I import the footage as HDV? I’ve done a lot of HDV shooting before, but final delivery has always been SD, so I have just downconverted upon capture. Does anyone have any great advice for me?

    Brian,

Check out the thread below that discusses firewire capture and on the fly conversion from HDV to Pro Res. Being 10 bit, Pro Res might be worth your while for your green screen.
