I just let ‘er rip on a bouncy shot and it was great.

I am wondering…where did this technology come from (shake?)
what is the history on it?

I have to IDEA what it did behind the scenes as there are no controls, but it worked great on a tricky shot with camera pan, pull ut and angle change.

Ya it came from Shake, but they added in the auto scale for FCP. It works just as well in either program, but it’s kind of annoying that FCP analyzes the entire master clip not just what’s in the timeline.

I agree, is very good. To avoid that FC analyzes the whole clip, use Media manager.
