Has anyone else noticed a timecode offset in reference movies exported from Final Cut?

When I export a sequence as a Quicktime Movie that’s “self contained” and import the movie into FCP the timecode start is offset by 2 frames from the original.

I’ve found a work around is to export using Compressor by that is a lot more button pushing and comes with its own set of integration quirks.

    cheers,

Nope, haven’t seen that at all as we use the timecode window feature of Compressor all the time. If the TC was offset by 2 seconds we would notice that in a hurry. We only use reference movies here.

    yes.

I’ve heard that it may be fixed in 6.0.2. I haven’t tried it yet. If you set an in point any where in the timeline before the 1:00:00;00 mark, you’ll run into this. Set it after, and you’ll be fine. The bug affected all codecs.
