  IMPORTING FROM A PANASONIC P2 HARD DISK

  Hallo
  I am editing on FCP 5 a short shot on Panasonic P2.
  I have used the import Panasonic P2 option on the menu and it automatically imports all the fils on the hard disk we were using on my scratch disk folder. Doing so it is also converting the mxf files to mov. They have the same dimension at the end. Does anyone know if I am dropping quality?can I cancel them or do I need to do an on-line afterwords.

  There is no quality loss. All FCP is doing is copying it over and wrapping it in a Quicktime wrapper so that FCP can work with it.
