Are you sure your preferences are set to that disk? Is your boot drive full?

I went into capture settings and changed the “limit capture now” box to 60 minutes. I think that should work?

I just installed Leopard. Before I had no problem using CAPTURE NOW to import footage. I would hit CAPTURE NOW and the preview window would pop up, showing me the footage being captured.
SINCE INSTALLING LEOPARD, I hit CAPTURE NOW and the preview screen comes up like before, showing me the footage I am capturing. Only after about 5 minutes, the preview screen FREEZES. If I leave it alone, it will continue to capture the the rest of the tape except that at the moment it “froze”. That frame remains in the captured footage for about 20 minutes then resumes until the rest of the tape. It’s as if the tape paused for 20 minutes during capture. Any help? Thanks!
PS…I don’t have my limit capture set to any specific time, my ABORT ON DROPPED FRAMES is not checked. I am not a novice….just stumped.

    And you installed Leopard why?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it has been repeated often on this very forum NOT to update to Leopard at least until Apple releases their updates to Studio 2.

There have been a lot of reports of people having problems with Studio 2 apps after updating to Leopard. My suggestion to you is to go back to your cloned version of Tiger until Apple gets the updates out.

I’m fairly NEW to this site. SORRY to sound SO ignorant. I’m going back to PANTHER. That’s RIGHT….OLD school.
    Peace.

I think you’ll also find lots of people not having problems, if the upgrade is done correctly with a clean install and not a simple update or archive and install. It was the same situation with the Tiger upgrade, and in fact really needed to be done for the FCS2 upgrade which was so poorly implemented.

    All the best,

    Tom

And how did you “figure it out”? I am now addressing the same issue. My External Hard Drive, which all of my settings and preferences seem to be assigned to and have for some time for which I have captured several previous projects to, and currently shows that I have close to 200 GB, more then enough for my current project; yet it still aborts capture due to lack of space…go figure? Ant help?
