  • A question about the multiclip editing buttons on the fcp 6x interface

Posted by Todd George on November 7, 2007 at 2:59 pm

    Hello everyone

I am using FCP 6x on an intelCore 2 Duo Imac under os 10.4.10

I am teaching myself how use the mutlicam/multiclip editing features (very impressive thus far) and just wondering how do I get the multiclip buttons to go away

I know that I can go into the Tools menu and go to button bars to find them but there doesn’t seem to be a way to make them leave

I realize I can go into the prefs and dump that and that would get me back to a default state but I would hope that there was another solution

thanks in advanace for any help on this one

    take care

Right-click in the button bars and select Remove>Restore Default. It’sin all the button bars.

    All the best,

The only way to easily revert back to the default button bar set is to actually save the button bar set when it is at a default state so that you can easily point back to it later. Final Cut doesn’t have an instant way to get back to the default set. So what I would do is, like the previous poster said, right click on each button bar to restore the default, then go Tools > Buttons Bars > Save to save the default. Now you can always point back here after a long and intense day of multiclip editing.
