Repetitive Task
I have a regular gig where on a sequence I have a bunch of short clips with a slate in front of each one (regular text tool). I need to place a chapter marker at the head of ever slate and every clip (or I’d settle for one or the other).
Is there any way to make a script or something that could automate this task?

besides running a macro (you can download one from my site, free version works fine) you could export an example to XML, and use a text editor to swap out the things that need to change.
Looks difficult in the beginning, but if you study it a little, things start to make sense (start with VERY simple sequences untill you get the hang of it)
If you do so, you can save TONS of work.
Of course you can always hire a specialist to help you, or make a custom scripting application.

i’m a Quickeys (Macro App) user for these sorts of things.
in fact i made a macro for turning all markers into Chapter Markers.
you can have it if you want.you could easily modify it to ad the markers, too, i think.
oh, and Quickeys is a 30 day free demo, so why not give it a go?
