  mxf to mov

  hallo people
  I need an information. when importing with fcp 5 from a PANASONIC P2 hard disk FCP converts automatically the files from mxf to mov. I need to know if thy have the same quality or do they drop something?
  please let me know othervise I will need to do the on-line somewhere else.

  Same quality…no conversion happening. Just copying over and wrapping in a Quickime Wrapper so the FCP understands the file.
