  • media manager creates a single clip for multiple cuts?

I’m using media manager to create a copy of just what’s on the timeline. However, whenever there’s more than a single reference to a media file, it just creates a new version of that file trimmed to the earliest in point and the latest out point of the related timeline segments.

Is there a way to get 3 distinct clips for each of the 3 timeline segments, as opposed to 1 media file serving them all?

Do I need to make them master clips or something?

    Thanks!

Try giving each clip in the sequence a unique name and select the “base media file names on clip name” option in media manager.
