  importing from DVD

  Is there an easy way to import from a non-encrypted DVD? I need to create a Quicktime file for someone of their DVD and I’m looking for an easier way than dumping it to DV and then digitizing it.

  Search in Google for: MPGStreamclip.
  You can convert your MPG2 in QT movies. Don’t export as DV because you will get a DV Sequence (the same that is used by IMovie). If you want to get the best quality from the DVD, export as QT movie using DVCPro50 or 8b Uncompressed.
