I’m a bit confused on it too, AJA told me today that it supports Uncompressed HD playback via the CPU. I’m getting a unit soon so as soon as I have a chance to test it all out, I’ll give you a definitive answer on what it does and does not do and how it does it.

Uncompressed HD playback with the IoHD is only supported a Desktop System with fast enough CPU processing to handle the UC – ProRes conversion on the host CPU, and a fast enough disk drive.
