    Hi,
I’m about to upgrade from my old Cinewave G4 to the new Mac Pro quad core 3.0Ghz. Is the graphics card that ships standard with this machine, ” NVIDIA Geforce 7300GT” any good?
Or should i be looking at the “ATI Radeon x1900xt”

Will be using the MacPro with Kona3 card and soley for FCP2.

    Thanks Paul

As far as I understand it, you’ll get faster renders with the X1900XT in FCS2 as the programs use the GPU to accelerate the graphics and effects. Based on research you can do on these forums, it’s pretty much a given to go with the X1900XT unless you’re heavy into 3D, and then you should go with the quadrofx. Cheers.
