  I used QT pro to record DV footage, set to “device native”, but when i tried to import into FCP, it didn’t recognize it? Any thoughts why? FCP 5.1.4 and QT 7.1.5.

  Also, what is the current “okay” version of QT should I have w/ FCP 5.1.4?

  Why didn’t you use Log and Capture?

  QT will capture noncompliant video sources to a variety of different codecs. You probay have captured DV to DV Stream instead of regular ol’ DV. What is the extension on the file?

  Either recapture in FCP or Export out of QT Pro to conventional DV.
