Hey all. Just curious about a few things. First, I cant really afford the automatic duck pro import AE plugin for after effects at the moment so Im wondering what my export settings should be from final cut express hd to prep my sequences/shots for AE CS3. Is exporting to a self contained quicktime movie the best way to go? That’s what I’ve been told from the kind people here before.

Also, once I’m finished adding effects and color grading to my sequences/shots in AE, what should my export settings be from there in order to bring back into FCE to replace the raw sequences with the newly edited sequences? Im afraid Ill lose my video quality for the most part.

I shot my project with a Sony HDR FX1 camera in Standard Def. just you all know. Thanks

    Yes.

DV NTSC 720×480 at the same frame rate your sequence is.

If you had FCP instead of FCE, the answer would be different. But for FCE in standard definition, it only works in DV.
