    Hi there you EFFECTive people!

I’m a bit curious about the Pro Import for AE. I just wanted to know if anyone have some experience with the app. Thing is I’m considering buying a license for the company I’m working for and before I go ahead and spend a lot of money I’d like some guarantees that it is worth it!

    Kind regards
    Champ

For the FCP to AE workflow, it is great. We have the Avid Liscense, but we haven’t used it all that much.

I find Automatic duck very usefull and think it’s definetly worth the cost;but the most important thing to consider is that AD does not support MXF files, only XML and OMF. They will be upgrading soon I hope as all my material coming off P2’s is MXF. Also not every effect/plug in will transfer over form AVID or FCP to AE. For example color correction effects or the colorista 3rd party plugin will not be read.

Otherwise go for it, It has saved me hundreds of hours of work so far.

I’ve used Automatic Duck for a couple of projects now and it’s been a real life-saver.
