Drop Frame Editing in 59.94 Progressive
Hello All,
I would like to know the reasoning behind not allowing the sequence setting in 720p 60 , editing timebase 59.94 to be Drop Frame. However when you switch the editing timebase to 29.97 it gives me the dropframe option.This is proving problematic given that we shoot our shows in 720p 59.94 and do not have a drop frame timeline to edit in.

This has been addressed before in this forum by both Shane and Walter. Do a little search and you should find what you’re looking for.

Ask Apple. I’ve been asking them for three years. No Answer.
You cannot edit in a 29.97 timeline as that will cause its own issues. 59.94 does not equal 29.97.
