would love to find a cd or other resource for all of those “whoosh” and “crash” sound effects used in movie trailers. any suggestions?

I’ve used SoundTrack Pro for these kind of FX when I’ve needed them. It’s fun to and sounds together and make your own. I really like playing sounds in reverse.

But I’d also like a basic library of swooshes and other sounds like you’re talking about.

Try sounddogs.com, you can just buy what you need, and not pay for a bunch you’ll never use.

    Have a wonderful day.

The best sound effects out there that most of the studios use come from Hollywood Edge, that is if they don’t use a foley stage.

    Awesome sound effects, but pricey!

Robert Etoll’s stuff is the golden standard for trailer sfx. He isn’t cheap though.
