    hello,
I have edited a film that contains both HDV an DV formats as source materials.
I put the film in a HDV 1080i sequence and re-scaled the DV images.
In the Final Cut (5.1) it runs nicely, but when I print to a HDV tape, the DV images flick a lot! I know that the quality of the DV images will be worst, but is there a way of controlling the “flicking thing”?
    Thank you,
    Isabel

ps: I hope I made myself understandable. It’s hard to translate the question.

    Isabel,

The problem is that your HDV timeline is upper field dominant, but DV is lower field dominant and FCP doesn’t do the conversion properly. Get yourself a plugin such G Field converter in the Nattress Big Box of Tricks at https://www.nattress.com/BigBox/FixIT/GField.htm to really do the job right.
