All I got to say is wow! I recently shot a 1on1 interview post media scrum after a football game. Stood a little further than normal to narrow the DoF and so i could come out on occasion from the subject revealing a nice shot of both the interviewer and subject. the further distance resulted in a little more camera shake than I like on the tight shot.

Once back at the ranch I decided to give the steadycam filter a try.. man oh man,,, after some adjusting of the controls it made the entire interview look like it was shot with a steadycam. smooth,, very smooth.

Hiya Colin, long time and all that.

We just ran a few simple DV shots through Motion’s smoothing operations. It was amazing. Then we decided to try the Flow Motion time extension. Another killer render.

I’ll have to play with that one a bit!! I build stylized open tease sequences for hockey, football, and soccer broadcasts and use a tonne of fast-mo and slo-mo. Typically,, for ease and efficiency I do straight razor cuts and speed change the snippets.

In the next couple weeks I need to build a bunch of thematic packs,, I’ll probably give all the new studio2 features a good run!

    cheers,

Be sure to take a few hours to watch the promo DVD that came with your FCS2 package. It roughly explains how to get into the Flow functions in Motion.
